Minimising Personal Risk
Risk can be defined as “exposure (someone or something valued) to danger, harm, or loss.
There are a number of risks associated with NHS and Private practice and these can come from a number of differing directions such as
- Patients
- Regulatory bodies
- Solicitors
- Staff
- Professional colleagues
- Commissioning bodies
It is not possible to eliminate risk from the workplace. It important to have an operational understanding of risk and equally a strategic approach to minimising the impact of risk by addressing concerns in a timely and robust manner.
It is invaluable to have processes in place to regularly review practice activity through an established clinical and compliance assurance framework which allows for early identification of issues and promotes change behaviour.
We have a number of resources which have been set up with our partners including:
- Risk management programmes
- Clinical Reviews and Assurance Frameworks
- Webinars supporting risk minimisation
- Mentorship
- Financial advice
- Accountancy advice
- Counselling and Well Being support
